Community Council to Discuss Point Power Proposals
The Point Community Council are to hold a special meeting on Thursday 15th May in Bayble School to discuss the planning application prepared by Point Power Energy Company to erect community wind turbines on the Point share of the Stornoway General Common Grazings. The meeting starts at 7.30pm

Point to Meet Aths in ABC Cup Final
After a tight 1-0 semi-final victory over West Side at the new pitch in Garrabost, Point are to meet Aths in the first cup final of the 2008 season. A Late goal from Alasdair Gillies secured the Rudhachs place in the final. The match will be played on Friday 23rd May at Goathill. Good luck to the Reds! Point will also meet Aths on the 10th May in the first round of the Highland Amateur Cup.

Good Luck & Best Wishes to the Lawsons
Residents of Point will be sad to see the departure of the Lawson family to New Zealand on Monday 12th May. Kay-Anna Lawson is a well-known figure to the young people of Point and has done a power of work in her role as Point Youth Worker. Her work and efforts will be sadly missed by the community. We would like to wish the whole Lawson family our very best wishes for their great adventure and we hope they have a fantasic time in their new home in New Zealand.
